EU Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) Training

June 2012

 

Representatives of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information take active part in the training activities organized in the field of the EU Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). As a result, two representatives of the Directorate will participate in the training organized by the Ministry of Defence on 12-13 June 2012 in Skopje with the support of the TAIEX instrument of the European Commission, and one representative will take part in the training to be held in the period from 18 to 22 June 2012 in Brussels, organized within the CSDP training program for St5abilization and Association Process (SAP) countries 2012.

TAIEX Study Visit to the National Security Authority of the Federal Republic of Germany

Three representatives of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information will visit the National Security Authority of the Federal Republic of Germany in the period from 4 to 8 June 2012. The study visit will be supported by the TAIEX instrument of the European Commission. The aim of the study visit is to obtain knowledge and exchange experiences related to the functioning of the National Communication Security Authority (NCSA), the National Accreditation Authority (NAA) and the National Distribution Authority (NDA), as well as to exchange experiences related to the information security of classified information.

TAIEX workshop

Skopje, 13-14 March 2012

 

On 13-14 March 2012 in Skopje the workshop was held on the “Criteria, Measures and Standards on the Physical Protection of Classified Information in the state organs, public enterprises and private companies”. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the European Commission from Brussels, within the framework of the TAIEX instrument.

Chair of the workshop was the Director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information, while presenters were experts of the National Security Authorities of the Kingdom of Spain, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Hungary and the Republic of Cyprus: Mr. Javier Lougedo Calderon, Mgr. Peter Grebáč, Ms. Zsófia Szabó and Mr. Ilias Chatzikoumis.

Preparations for the first alumni seminar of the EU member countries and the EU candidate countries

Within the 2011 Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) Training Program of the European Security and Defence College and the activities related to the National Program for approximation of the national legislation to the EU acquis communautaire (NPAA), the Directorate for Security of Classified Information (DSCI) will host the first alumni seminar of the EU member countries and the EU candidate countries, to be held in the period from 12 to 15 September 2011 in Ohrid.

In order to discuss the details on the organization of the seminar, the venue and the agenda, Dr. Jochen Rehrl from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence and Sports will visit the Republic of Macedonia on 16-17 May 2011.

Training of the employees of the General Secretariat of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia

On two occasions, on February 17, 2011 and on March 3, 2011, the Directorate for Security of Classified Information conducted training of the employees of the General Secretariat of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for working with classified information.

The trainees were trained in handling, safe-guarding and exchanging of national and of foreign classified information in the area of the administrative, physical, personnel, information and industrial security.

On 16-17 March 2011 in Skopje the workshop was held on the “Mandatory Provisions for Administrative, Physical Security and INFOSEC/NCSA”. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the European Commission from Brussels, within the framework of the TAIEX program.

Presenters at the workshop were the Director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information, Mr. Urlich Van Essen and Mr. Sebastian Leonnet, Heads of units at the EU Council Secretariat General concerning information assurance and security of sensitive CIS, Mr. Matti Kesäläinen, Consultant for the Finnish National Security Authority and Mr. Róbert Pekarčík, representative of the National Security Authority of the Slovak Republic.

TAIEX Workshop

On 16-17 March 2011 a workshop will be held in Skopje on the “Mandatory Provisions for Administrative, Physical Security and INFOSEC/NCSA”. The workshop will be organized within the framework of the TAIEX program of the European Commission with lecturers from the EU Council, the EU member countries and the Directorate for Security of Classified Information.
Representatives of state organs, private companies and other legal entities, users of classified information, will be invited to participate in the workshop.

Workshop related to the procedures on procurement with classified tenders

On 26 November 2010 in Skopje, in co-organization of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information and the Public Procurement Bureau, a workshop was held on “Procurements and Security Procedures in Classified Tenders”. A total of seventeen representatives of sixteen state organs took part in the workshop. Many issues on specific procedures and solutions on the problems occurring during their execution were discussed among the participants in details.

In joint organization of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information and the Public Procurement Bureau, a workshop will be held in the second half of November 2010 on the procedures for public procurements which involve classified information – classified bids.

Seminar on Industrial Security

Skopje, September 22-23 2010

 

On 22 and 23 September 2010 a seminar was held at the Directorate for Security of Classified Information on “Classified Tenders for Procurement of Classified Goods and Services, Classified Contracts and Facility Security Certificates”. It involved a total of 40 participants, of which 18 representatives of organs of the state administration and 22 representatives of private companies, which face the need to access classified information related to the industrial security.
