NATO Security Policy Workshop

Brdo, 21-25 September 2015

 

A representative of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information attended the NATO Security Policy Workshop, designed for non-NATO countries and for representatives of other international organizations, which took place in the period from 21 to 25 September 2015 in Brdo, Republic of Slovenia. The goal of the workshop was familiarization of the participants with the practical experiences from the application of the NATO security regulations and procedures.

Common Security and Defense Policy Training Program

Brussels, 07–11 September 2015

 

The 9th cycle of the 2015 training program on Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) designed for the Stabilization and Association Process (SAP) member countries was held in the period from 7 to 11 September 2015 in Brussels. It was attended by one representative of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information. In line with the experience from the previous training cycles, the 2015 training program proved itself as an exceptional opportunity for building and upgrading the CSDP administrative capacity. The training was organized by the European Security and Defense College and it was supported by the TAIEX instrument of the European Commission.

30th Multinational Industrial Security Working Group (MISWG) Conference

Tel Aviv, 31 August -4 September 2015

 

The Director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information attended the jubilee 30th Multinational Industrial Security Group (MISWG) Conference that took place in the period from the 31 August to 4 September 2015 in Tel Aviv, Israel. At the conference, where the Republic of Macedonia has the status of an observer country, the emphasis was placed on the national reports of the participating countries about their achievements in the current year in the field of the industrial security of classified information and on the plans for cooperation in the period to come until the next conference.

Training on “Cyberdrill for Europe Region”

Budva, 30 September – 2 October 2015

 

In the period from 30 September to 2 October 2015, a representative of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information took part in an exercise on Cyberdrill for Europe Region. The exercise was composed of a theoretical and a practical part. The training took place on 30th of September 2015 in Budva, Republic of Montenegro. During their visit at the ITU institute, many accomplished information security experts gave presentations through practical exercises, scenarios and their relevant solutions. The exercise was organized by the ITU institute and the Government of the Republic of Montenegro.

A ten week training program in the Government Office for the Protection of Classified Information of the Republic of Slovenia

Ljubljana, 28 April– 3 July 2015

 

In the period between April 28 and July 3, 2015, a representative from the Directorate for Security of Classified Information (National Security Authority of the Republic of Macedonia), attended a 10 week training program in the Government Office for the Protection of Classified Information of the Republic of Slovenia, supported by the European Fund for the Balkans. During the training period he studied the Slovene, but also the EU and NATO legal framework regulating the protection of classified information.
He participated in all working activities organized and chaired by the Office as well as in other sessions in which the Office has been involved, including the expert conference entitled: “Dillemas and challenges of using drones and their normative regulation“, held in the National Parliament and organized by the Institute for Corporate Security. He gained experience about the process of handling classified information in Slovenia

Multilateral meeting at a level of 6S

Sarajevo, 15-16 June, 2015

 

Between 15 and 16 of June 2015, representatives from the Directorate for Security of Classified Information participated in a multilateral expert meeting which was held in Sarajevo in 6S format. In the framework of the 6S initiative, different possibilities and modalities of data exchange in the field of personnel security have been discussed amongst the NSA experts.

In the period between May and June 2015, representatives from the Directorate for Security of Classified Information participated in a cycle of learning events related to the promotion and implementation of the pilot project ENCYSEC. Funded by the EU and implemented by the consortium Expertise France - Civipol Conseil, this pilot project has an overall objective to increase the security and resilience of Information Communication Technologies networks in the beneficiary countries (Macedonia, Moldova and Kosovo). The project consists of three components:

Fifth SEENSA Conference

The fifth conference of the National Security Authorities of the countries of the South East Europe (SEENSA) was held on May 20, 2015 in Skopje, in co-organization of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information of the Republic of Macedonia and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC). The conference marked a small jubilee of the initiative for the meeting of the Heads of the National Security Authorities (NSAs) of the countries of the South East Europe (SEE), launched in May 2011 in Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria.

The participants in the conference represented seven NSAs from the region: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia. Besides the representatives of the host NSA, the conference was attended by a representative of

Workshop organized by RACVIAC and the Military Academy

Representatives of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information participated in the workshop on Building a Cyber Resilient Society in SEE, held on 12-14 May 2015 in Ohrid, organized by the Centre for Security Cooperation RACVIAC and the Military Academy General Mahailo Apostolski – Skopje. The workshop was supported by the Federal Republic of Germany.

Visit of the Slovenian NSA Director

Upon invitation of the director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information, a meeting was held on April 15, 2015 in Skopje with representatives of the Government Office for the Protection of Classified Information of the Republic of Slovenia. The Slovenian delegation was led by the director of the Office.
