Representatives of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information were part of the delegation of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia led by the Deputy President of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and Minister of Defence Radmila Shekerinska, together with the National Coordinator for NATO Stevo Pendarovski, which completed the Accession Talks with NATO in Brussels on 18-19 October 2018.
In front of the NATO Assistant Secretary General, Ambassador Alejandro Alvargonzález, and the NATO team for accession talks with the Republic of Macedonia, it was confirmed that our country is completely prepared to accept the obligations resulting from the Washington Treaty and that it will take part in the NATO structures and policies with full commitment.
During the Accession Talks particular attention was given to the Program for Continuation of the Reforms in which primary focus is put on the defence and security related reforms, as well as on the reforms in the field of the rule of law, judicial reforms, fight against corruption and organized crime, public administration reforms and the reforms related to the monitoring of communications and the intelligence services.
